The Pharmacology 2025 conference will be held at the ICC Belfast, which is located within a 5 minute walk from Belfast city centre.
Stewards are always available during events should you require any assistance.
ICC Belfast, 2 Lanyon Place, Belfast, BT1 3WH
There are two privately owned car parks (Lanyon Place and Oxford Street) adjacent to the venue with dedicated accessible spaces.
These facilities are located in Riverside Foyer and has accessible toilets with equipment such as hoists, curtains, adult-sized changing benches, and space for carers.
There is improved signposting to enhance accessibility so customers can navigate around the building with ease.
The ICC can accommodate any visitor requiring specific seating arrangements to assist with all access and mobility requirements.
There is a dedicated cloakroom area which is accessible via the Riverside Foyer to store any equipment.
Guide and assistance dogs are welcome at the ICC, we can arrange suitable seats with space to accommodate.
We want the conference wants to be a safe and happy place for everyone to enjoy. However, the size of the venue and the large crowds mixed in with all the different sounds, lights, smells and experiences can be overwhelming especially for attendees with mental health, emotional and sensory issues.
There will be a Sensory Calm Space at the conference. The aim of this space will be to provide a safe, low-level stimulation and recalibration zone for our neurodivergent conference attendees. Find out more by visiting the Registration Desk when you arrive at the conference.
Conference attendees are welcome to bring babies under 12 months of age into lectures, but we ask that they are taken out of the room if they become unsettled. We advise attendees use their own discretion as to whether a session is suitable for babies as some content featured in sessions may be triggering/upsetting.
Nursing mothers are welcome to breastfeed their babies anywhere in the conference venue but a private feeding room will be available for those who prefer it. Please ask for the location at the Registration Desk.
A prayer room will be available on site throughout the entirety of the conference, this space will be clearly indicated across the event site and on the app. Please ask a member of staff if you require further assistance.
Free event registration is available for any required chaperone's. Please contact the events team to discuss this further on meetings@bps.ac.uk
Visit the ICC Belfast's Accessibility page for more information.
There will be a Q&A function on the Event App for the main lecture theatre, this allows attendees to ask questions via the app instead of using the standing microphones. A link to download the app and a code to join the event will be emailed to registered delegates in the weeks leading up to the conference.
The BPS offers a care support bursary to help its members with caring responsibilities to attend its meetings and events. You can receive up to £200 to help cover caring costs. Find out more and apply now.
For general information about Belfast, we recommend visiting the Visit Belfast website.
Euan's Guide is a website that provides disabled access information by disabled people for disabled people. Visit their pages on disabled access in Belfast and reviews of venues in Belfast.
Due to the medical nature of the conference, triggering or upsetting content may feature in some of the sessions. We have asked presenters to be sensitive when it comes to discussing or showing potentially triggering/upsetting content, advising they give a verbal or visual warning before doing so. Unfortunately the BPS can not enforce this. We advise attendees use their own discretion as to whether they wish to join or leave a session. Attendees are free to leave a session whenever they wish.
We are always looking for ways to improve our events, enabling all our members to access these. We therefore would like to hear your feedback for future events, if you have any requirements you believe we aren't catering to we would like to hear these. Please contact us:
