Conference abstracts
Late-breaking abstracts
Submissions are now being accepted for late-breaking abstracts. In particular, we welcome abstracts containing high-impact data that became available after the previous abstract deadline.
The deadline to submit is 16 November 2026.
Submit an abstractPlease note that all abstract presenters must register to attend in person for Pharmacology 2026. Your abstract may be removed from the conference if your registration is not complete by 30 November 2026.
Oral communications
If your abstract has been accepted as an oral communication, you will be asked to present your oral communication in person during Pharmacology 2026. Oral presenters will have 15 minutes, including questions, so we recommend speaking for no longer than 12 minutes.
Poster presentations
If your abstract has been accepted as a poster presentation, you will be asked to present your poster in person during Pharmacology 2026. You can download a copy of our poster preparation guidelines for guidance.

Bursaries
BPS members with caring responsibilities can apply for a care support bursary worth up to £200 to help cover caring costs to allow you to attend Pharmacology 2026. You must apply for the bursary at least one month before the conference.
Prizes
Exceptional posters and oral communications will be awarded prizes at the end of the final day of the conference. There are 24 prizes ranging from £100 to £300 each, totalling just under £5,000.
Posters and oral communications submitted as late-breaking abstracts will not be eligible for prizes.
