About the conference

The British Pharmacological Society's annual 'Pharmacology' conference brings together individuals from across academia, healthcare, industry and the regulatory sector to share and celebrate the latest research and developments in pharmacology and its related subject areas. The conference is a great opportunity for those studying and working to attend lectures from experts and emerging researchers, network and socialise, and showcase your own work.

Registration

Registration is now open. Early bird rates are available until 29 October 2025.

Members of the British Pharmacological Society (BPS) and Irish Association of Pharmacologists (IAP) can enjoy a reduced ticket price for Pharmacology 2025. Attendees and presenters can apply for a bursary to help with your travel and accommodation costs. BPS members can also apply for a Care Support Bursary.

Abstract submission

Abstract submission is open until Tuesday 9 September at 11.00pm. Presenters can apply for a bursary to support their attendance.

Why Belfast?

Pharmacology 2025 will be held in the city of Belfast, Northern Ireland, at the International Convention Centre (ICC) Belfast.

Belfast placed 11th in the 2023 Global Destinations Sustainability Index (GDS-Index) as well as being named "Best Conference Destination" and "Best Event Venue - UK" in the Conference and Incentive Travel (C&IT) Awards. The city has something for everyone, including innovative research centres, exceptional local hospitality and rich cultural heritage. It is also home to two of the top universities for pharmacology and pharmaceutical sciences: Ulster University and Queen's University Belfast.

The BPS is proud to partner with the Irish Association of Pharmacologists (IAP) for this conference, bringing together pharmacologists from the UK and Republic of Ireland, as well as many from overseas.

ICC Belfast is located at the heart of the city. The conference centre is within walking distance of all major city centre attractions and accommodation.
