Conferences such as Pharmacology2024 are fantastic opportunities for career development. The British Pharmacological Society strives to make these opportunities as accessible and equitable as possible.
The British Pharmacological Society awarded a total of £24,000 in bursaries to 96 individuals to help them present at or attend Pharmacology 2024. £12,000 was awarded to abstract presenters and £12,000 was awarded to attendees.

In addition, BPS journals publisher Wiley generously awarded an extra £4,250 to support 12 early career researchers (ECRs) and 3 female ECRs from low- and middle-income countries to attend the conference.
The American Society of Pharmacology and Therapeutics (ASPET) also awarded its own Travel Award (funded by the ASPET General Fun) to support graduate students and postdoctoral scientists attend the conference.
