Social programme

In addition to the extensive scientific programme, Pharmacology 2024 is your chance to socialise whilst enjoying everything Harrogate has to offer!

By registering for Pharmacology 2024, you will automatically be invited to the Welcome Reception which takes place at the end of the first day of the conference (Tuesday 10 December). You will also be given the option to purchase tickets for the Conference Party and the Gala Dinner (more about these below).

If you have already registered for the conference and would like to add tickets to the Conference Party and/or Gala Dinner to your order, please follow the instructions in your confirmation email to amend your booking. 

Tuesday 10 December 2024, 7:30pm - 11:00pm

The conference party will follow straight on from the Welcome Reception, where your conversations on the first day can continue. The informal evening will include a welcome drink and a buffet meal, followed by a fun evening of music and dancing, hosted by a local DJ. 

The Banyan Harrogate is a stylish and vibrant bar and kitchen located in the heart of the historic town of Harrogate.

For only £25 a ticket you will receive entry to the bar, a welcome drink and bowl food. Limited tickets available, don't miss out!  

Gala Dinner @ The Royal Hall

Wednesday 11 December 2024, 7:30pm - 10:30pm

The Royal Hall is a Grade II* listed Edwardian performance hall and theatre located just on the outskirts of Harrogate Town Centre. With its 950-seat capacity, spectacular décor and large versatile floor space, the Royal Hall provides a breath-taking setting. Over 100-years-old, the Royal Hall was re-opened by Prince Charles in 2008 following an eight-million-pound restoration. Dinner will be held inside the performance hall, allowing you time to take in the beautiful décor. The Royal Hall is located next to the Convention Centre. Please contact the events team before booking on meetings@bps.ac.uk if you require wheelchair access.

For only £85 you will receive entry to this beautifully unique venue, a welcome drink, three course locally sourced menu, followed by the awards ceremony.
